ShinobuTranslator (“the Extension”) is developed as an open-source tool. This Privacy Policy outlines our data handling practices.
The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, user information, or browsing history. Any text processed for translation is handled directly between your browser and the respective translation API services. We do not own, operate, or maintain any intermediary servers that intercept or store your data.
The Extension only requests permissions that are strictly necessary for its core translation functionality (such as accessing the current webpage text or making network requests to translation APIs). None of these permissions are used to track users or harvest data.
The source code for ShinobuTranslator is entirely public and open-source. Anyone can review the code at our official repository: https://github.com/DonutShinobu/ShinobuTranslator to independently verify these claims.
